Research Data Use Policy
Research data use is strictly opt-in. Only users who have consented in their dashboard settings have any data included in research output. You can change your consent status at any time.
GRN Labs is building a long-term understanding of vascular health interventions in men. For users who choose to participate, anonymized data may contribute to population-level research. This page explains exactly how that works.
Opt-In Requirement
Research data use requires explicit consent. You can manage your research consent status at any time in your dashboard Settings. If you have not opted in, your data is not included in any research output, period. There are no exceptions to this rule.
You can verify or change your current consent status in your dashboard Settings at any time.
What Gets Anonymized
Before any data is used for research purposes, the following identifying information is stripped:
- Name
- Email address
- Any other contact details
What remains after anonymization: biomarker values, protocol adherence signals, check-in scores, and vascular age metrics. These are the data points that carry scientific value for population-level analysis.
How Anonymization Works
Your user ID is replaced with a randomly generated cohort ID before any data enters a research dataset. The mapping between your user ID and your cohort ID is stored separately and is not included in research exports. No re-identification is possible from published research data.
Minimum Cohort Size
We enforce a minimum cohort size of 5 users before any aggregate data point is surfaced in a research output. This means that if fewer than 5 users share a given characteristic or response pattern, that data point is suppressed entirely. Individual records never appear in any research output under any circumstances.
What Research Outputs Look Like
Research outputs show population-level trends only. Examples might include: "Among users who completed a 90-day endothelial protocol, vascular age scores improved by X points on average." Individual users are never identifiable in any output, summary, or publication. We do not share individual records with anyone, including research collaborators.
Purpose of Research
Research conducted using GRN Labs data is aimed at advancing understanding of vascular health interventions in men. Your data is never sold. It is never used for advertising. It is never shared with pharmaceutical companies, insurers, or data brokers.
Withdrawing Consent
You may withdraw your research consent at any time. To do so:
- Go to Settings in your dashboard and toggle off research data consent, or
- Email privacy@getrightnutrition.online with the subject line "Withdraw Research Consent."
Withdrawal takes effect immediately for future data use. Data that has already been incorporated into a published aggregate study cannot be retroactively removed from that published output, because individual contributions are not traceable in anonymized aggregate results. However, your data will not be included in any future research from the point of withdrawal forward.
